Ice planets can resemble green planets from afar. The layout of the landforms on the surface of the planet has no relationship to the layouts of the continents once you zoom in. Only Ice Continents are seen on the planet's surface from orbit. The planet is circular from orbit but appears flat on the surface. The surface features of the planet are always changing.
